Check appliances that may operate concurrently. Continuous loads (refrigerator, TV, lighting) always contribute to base load. Peak loads (geyser, stove, dryer) contribute the largest single value to peak demand.

Sizing methodology

• Continuous loads sum directly — they always contribute to base demand.
• Non-concurrent peak loads contribute only the largest single value (assuming you wouldn't run multiple high-power appliances simultaneously).
• Total peak demand = continuous + largest peak. Inverter must handle this without sustained overload.
• Peak power tolerance (10-30 second surge) handles motor startup spikes — typically 50% over continuous rating.
• For installations needing >12 kW continuous, consider three-phase architecture or parallel single-phase units.
• Future-proofing: size 20-30% above current peak demand if substantial load growth expected (induction adoption, EV charging, multi-zone AC).
